My Blood Self is a series that uses repeating images in different works to cause a Déjà vu quality. All those who have died during war in Darfur are remembered in this video. It takes the global issue of war and juxtaposes it against the personal. The emotive imagery of the red soil and red of the blood show the sadness of being physically connected to the earth but not to one’s own home.
