“Matt lies down on his back, legs together, arms outstretched, his assistants walk over and lift him by his shoulders. Matt, now standing has the silhouette of an aeroplane – an airbus A380. After a pause, Matt presses a footswitch, smoke billows from behind.”These four performances aimed at children, took place in the car park of the Foundling Museum, London. Each performance happened on the hour from midday on 6th October.“Giving each a keyboard, Matt instructs the children to press the key marked with a star on each tick of the metronome. After pressing play on the cassette player, Matt picks up the guitar and plays a melody whilst repeating the words – “stand well clear, vehicle reversing” into the megaphone. A small truck, its container painted with the word, Tesco, is pulled backwards.” (Matt Cook, Four Tape! Times proposal)
