A letterpress print of text on found paper. The poster says ''WE ARE FOR US'' and is taken from some writing that I did for my web site. This is printed onto the print side of an unused billboard that had a photograph of a stone wall on it.

I can imagine these words being interpreted as a positive statement by socialists or people who might be described as left-wing. I sometimes want the messages that I make in my work to be more definitive but whatever my intentions are I cannot seem to find a way preventing alternative readings. These words come from a ranting mission statement that I wrote for an imaginary corporation that makes glowing objects or people and pretends to care about it''s customers but is only concerned for itself.

I enjoy the opportunity for multiple interpretations of my work and I play with that but I also want to be able to make explicit statements that say ''Capitalists do not care about anyone but themselves.'' But this does not seem to have the same impact.
