William Nixon

This is one of my most uplifting works. I was fascinated by a philosopher's quotation, 'A green grass will grow over every city' which I used as the starting point for this piece. Both the locations in this shot were taken from the spaces surrounding Chelsea Power Station – the collage really captures the essence of the area. This work in particular differs structurally from my other works. It is not dominated by rigid bands of line and colour, which makes for a good contrast when hung with my other images.
