Rowing continuously up and down the River Severn over a 24 hour period, a test tube of water is collected every five minutes. These are suspended in a stairwell to create a time based picture of the River. The work evokes the imagery of a distended chandelier or of a bizarre taxonomical process. Vertical River was an attempt to fix the unfixable.
