cell-sonance, 2004 - 2005

Interactive sound piece, which allows the visitor to experiment with mixing a variety of (body) cell sound samples which have been manipulated and altered digitally. These sounds are released by tapping the surface of the console, and emanate from speakers around the room next to complex images (Lambda/Digital prints, and Duratrans in Light Boxes), where again, scientific data from within the body has been manipulated for poetic effect. The participator experiences how the sound and image articulate around the space. Each time the console is played, the resulting combination is different. There are eight sound samples (two are raw), and six images.

Room 500cm x 500cm x 500cm, 1 minute 18 seconds
