The Betrayal, 2005

25 Ink drawings with imagery taken from stills from a 1960s horror film. The stills have been simplified, made flat and cartoon-like. Facial expressions have been frozen. This is a wall of spliced together static moments. A combination of images have been shifted from their original context and relocated within a new narrative. There is an atmosphere of foreboding. It is up to the viewer to decide on what scenario is unfolding; the clue is in the title.
