Chadkirk Chapel East Window, 2000

Window designed by Kate Davies, made by Kate Davies and Ian Hartless. With arched top, in twelve panels, depicting local landscape. Chapel, children, dog and musical instrument symbolise current uses of the site for leisure and music; the aqueduct over River Goyt refers to local industry, the angel hymn board, text and musical notation to the historical use of the chapel for worship. Two acid etched sheets of glass are sandwiched for each panel, details are screen printed and fired onto glass.
