Set on E floor, in the Cardiac and Neuro Outpatients Waiting Area of Leeds General Infirmary are two bas reliefs (Nucleus and Subtle Body), seven carved panels, and six paintings, celebrating and some seventeen traditional herbs used to treat neurological and cardiac conditions. Along the corridor from the main lifts are five carved wooden signs directing the public to the outpatients unit. Nucleus is a carved and constructed abstract design based on organic forms, relating to cross sections of seeds, cells etc.
