Pre-sliced Semantics & Spreadable Syntax, - 2012

The same text is displayed a) on a series of index cards displayed on a supermarket customer notice board, replaced with a new card every two days and b) as a book hidden in the linguistics section of a nearby bookshop. The reader is invited to consider some astute and some arbitrary comparisons between language and consumer products.

Produced as part of the exhibition ‘Text&Context,' showing work that explores the relationship between language and location.
