Series of 5 wallhangings for Innovation Centre, Westlakes Science and Tech Park, 1998

A series of 5 vertical wallhangings combining elements derived from silicon chip and electronic circuitry. Some sections are greatly enlarged to create a sense of landscape, whilst others are more detailed and intricate. The narrow panels use the burned away devoré technique to give a 3-D relief effect. The textiles are lined, weighted and flame proofed. The cooper and steel fixings were specially designed and made for textiles.

250cm x 80cm; 250cm x 40cm

Dyed, screen-printed and devoré silk velvet
