Barbara Ash

This body of work is an ongoing installation of sculptures exploring the doll form. The work plays with issues of femininity & conditioning & can be seen as an "other-worldly" counterpoint to contemporary mass-media representations of the female form.

The pieces range from 1 foot – 3 foot high, are carved in polystyrene, laminated in fibre-glass, hand-painted with acrylic & collaged with doily elements.
