An accumulation of responses to newspapers, cafe tables and peripheral imagery.
An exploration of what happens to the space in newspaper images, in text, in the immediate physical surroundings.
The connection we do or don't feel with events that are distanced by being in disjointed phrases, photos, partially blocked by the presence of the paraphernalia of a familiar table surface and the images that spill in from beyond. All recorded in the actual situation but change in the process of sealing, of mounting on canvas and are subsequently heightened or obliterated with paint or opalescent effects.
