To Glean llll, - 2012

An exploration of the verb:To Glean, with an emphasis on the feminine. Gleaning in the past was mostly practised by women and women gleaners have been represented in Art by painters such as: Millais, Courbet and Van Gogh.
The found objects in this series represent decades of personal "gleaning" and the work in this series is an exploration of that behaviour, from collection to presentation.
