Invitation, 2012

Plastic cups are arranged in a circle. From the front, light highlights the rims of the cups and they appear detached like rings or ripples floating in the air. The transparency of the cups also gives the appearance of ghostly forms and also double vision. From above they call to mind foam or bubbles rising up and there is a kind of headiness or intoxication in the work. From the rear view the cups become more solid and jumbled, more of a plastic melting pot.
