A series of 'sketch' interventions on reclaimed gloves were made as a response to the collaborative process and discussions with Dr. Annie Shaw, Senior Lecturer and MIRIAD Design Research Centre Leader for the Pairings II Project. Shown here 'Miniature Baptism' a tiny glove was gifted to me to respond to as part of our collaborative project. The glove looks like it is made for a doll, but constructed in a very stretchy material it is intended for a small child's hand. PAIRINGS II was a short term project aiming to partner two art professionals to exchange and cross reference working process and conceptual stimulus. The project was part of The Stroud International Textile Festival and was curated by Alice Kettle. A book accompanies the project with essays from Dawn Mason and Simon Olding.
