Steve Joyce

This series of works are made by cutting through six pages of newspaper supplements, creating six sets of six images from interchanging the cut up fragments. Each piece has to become coherent in same way but had to be compromised by each other image which had to also be coherent. This strategy was adopted to create a challenge to my usual process of working and explore ideas about closure and reading of images. The project was adapted into various other formats also and submitted for a collaborative project called Discarded Made Beautiful with a group called Creative Freelance.
