Birmingham, 2009
The work ‘Birmingham’ is based on a low resolution image from the 70’s found on YouTube . The images I use are mostly sourced from the Internet and seem to have a theme of being images of human progress or leisure. Caravans and planes have held an enduring interest, reflecting progress, travel, globalization. I also celebrate the low resolution quality of the images using a ruler to draw which was inspired by my low quality home printer.
